</a> leading the way. The world-renowned integrated resort has expanded its deployment of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) to manage its back-of-house delivery operations, improving productivity and reducing reliance on manual labour.</p>
<p data-start="602" data-end="1035">Initially, in early 2025, Marina Bay Sands deployed just four autonomous robots to support operations across its hotel, convention center, and leisure facilities. However, due to the success of the pilot and the measurable benefits seen in operational efficiency, the resort has significantly scaled up its automation initiative. By mid-2025, MBS introduced eight additional robots, bringing the total to 12 robots in active service.</p>
<p data-start="1037" data-end="1497">According to internal logistics planning, human workers were previously required to make up to 80 delivery trips per day. With the robots now integrated into the workflow, this burden has been significantly reduced.</p>
<p data-start="1850" data-end="2299">The adoption of AMRs has resulted in a 30% reduction in manual labour required for routine delivery tasks. This has allowed MBS to redeploy human workers to higher-value roles, such as overseeing the robots’ operations, managing logistics schedules, or taking on more supervisory positions. As a result, the workforce is now more focused on strategic and guest-facing responsibilities, enhancing both employee engagement and overall service quality.</p>
<p data-start="2301" data-end="2804">Shijith Prathapan, Vice President of Supply Chain at Marina Bay Sands, highlighted the significance of this transformation. “Our goal is to create a highly efficient and scalable operation that supports our growing business needs,” he said. “The introduction of autonomous mobile robots has not only streamlined our internal processes but has also enabled us to better manage our labour resources. As we continue to expand our capabilities, we remain committed to innovation and operational excellence.”</p>
